🚨Another MLB milestone trade gone wrong
The fan who caught Pete Crow-Armstrong’s first MLB home run (and hit) was happy to trade the ball back to the player…
But soon the fan realized the bat he received in return was not the one he believed they agreed upon.
🪄 MTG record sale: $3 million
An Alpha Black Lotus, graded by CGC Cards as Pristine 10, sold for $3 million in a private sale between Adam Cai of Pristine Collectibles and an undisclosed buyer, making it the highest-priced Magic: The Gathering card of all time.
🗞️ NFL Draft marketing winners and losers
The NFL Draftniks will give you the grades from a performance standpoint. But here at cllct, we, of course, are grading for marketability and the ultimate collectible bump, based on where all the top prospects ended up.
1. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
The No. 1 overall pick goes to the nation’s third-largest city, which still has a fan base wearing Payton, McMahon and Urlacher jerseys to games. Sure, Bears fans were jilted by the promise of Justin Fields, but with the 40th anniversary of the "Super Bowl Shuffle" coming up (yikes), hope rings eternal.
And for a city that has never truly had a franchise QB in the modern era, there's hope that maybe ... just maybe ... the Bears might finally have found a star at football's most important position.

🎶 Taylor sets a new record
Swift's defacto rookie card is already shockingly rare. PSA has graded less than 200 of the base versions and just 20 have received PSA 10 designations. This example, a little-known parallel numbered to /76, is one of just three PSA 9s with none higher. This $6,255 sale represents the highest price paid for the card, in any grade or variation, ever.
🛳️ Titanic pocket watch sells for record $1.48 million
A gold pocket watch found on the body of the wealthiest Titanic passenger, John Jacob Astor IV, sold Saturday in England for $1.48 million, setting a record for the highest amount ever paid for an item associated with the doomed ship.
đź‘® Lincoln wanted poster notches $200K
An initial printing of the wanted poster for the assassin and the accomplices of the killer of President Abraham Lincoln sold Friday afternoon at Heritage Auctions for $200,000, a record for a first printing.
