We are adding an extra newsletter this week in honor of Week 1 of the college football season being officially underway!

Cllct has delved into the college football memorabilia and business world to highlight some stellar stories and break national news.

This summer marked the return of one of the most popular sports video games of all time.

EA Sports College Football 25 launched on July 19. It marked the first time EA released the college game since 2014 due to an ongoing Name, Image and Likeness lawsuit.

Now, players are getting paid for their NIL, with over 12,000 players opting into the video game. In addition to players, schools are also getting paid for their involvement.

Dynasty mode allows you to “create a coach and build a powerhouse college football program from the ground up. Establish your coaching staff, recruit the best talent, utilize the transfer portal, and watch your program ascend to the sport's pantheon.”

It’s your opportunity to virtually put your footprint on the college football world.

What separates college football from every other sport in the country is the pageantry surrounding it. At every big showdown there is an inescapable lore that permeates through the air.

Much of that culture is represented through unique items throughout universities across the country. Whether they be cars and motorcycles or a rock, they all carry tremendous weight amid the 150+ years of college football.

Cllct chose ten that stand out above the rest and spoke to representatives from each school about the item’s importance within football tradition.

OneTeam Partners and ONIT Athlete have entered into a multi-year partnership to create trading cards for thousands of athletes and integrate them into a group licensing program.

Like many sports fans, Hitchcock and his wife, Christa, Homefield’s other co-founder, missed the engagement of sporting events, but found themselves glued to “The Last Dance.” As the sports world paused, the documentary, which followed the Chicago Bulls’ quest for a sixth championship with Michael Jordan in 1998, provided exactly what fans had longed for.

Panini America is expanding its footprint across the Name, Image and Likeness space by launching a new platform for collegiate trading cards.
