Mark David Chapman shot and killed John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980, just hours after having the musician sign his copy of the album "Double Fantasy."

As Lennon signed Chapman’s copy, this photo was taken of Lennon by Paul Goresh.

It would be one of the final images ever taken of Lennon, and the only one featuring his soon-to-be assassin.

The 2006 Topps Baseball set had everything collectors had come to expect from the yearly release. Issued in two series, the 659-card set included a base set, inserts, serial-numbered variants and relics.

📜 Declaration of Independence printing from July 1776 up for auction

Less than four years since it last sold at public auction for $930,000, a July 1776 printing of the Declaration of Independence will sell at Sotheby’s with a pre-sale estimate range of $2 million to $4 million.

According to Sotheby’s, only two other copies of Fowle’s printing have sold in the past century at public auction. It’s believed there are 10 copies extant.
